A new year always offers a chance for a fresh start: On January 29, 2025, the Chinese New Year begins, ushering in the Year of the Snake – a symbol of transformation, wisdom, and elegance. The Chinese New Year is one of the most significant celebrations worldwide, marked by gatherings of family and friends, traditional dishes, and special beverages. It’s the perfect occasion to toast in style with the globally unique white Cabernets, Moser Family Cabernet Sauvignon Blanc de Noir 2023 and Helan Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon Blanc de Noir 2023.

VIENNA, January 2025.
The Chinese New Year is a celebration brimming with symbolism and hope. It signifies a transition into a new chapter, accompanied by rituals intended to bring luck and success. Central to the festivities are sumptuous dishes, family togetherness, and, of course, the celebratory enjoyment of exceptional wines. With the two white Cabernets from the renowned Château Changyu Moser XV, you bring elegance, exotic flair, and a delightful surprise to the table. These wines are not only ideal companions for Asian or robust dishes but also embody a modern, cosmopolitan lifestyle.

Two Wines, Two Milestones
The Moser Family Cabernet Sauvignon Blanc de Noir 2023
, affectionately known as “Family White,” represents innovation and finesse. Subtle barrel aging enhances its fruit-forward character, while notes of grapefruit and gooseberry caress the palate. A silky, harmonious wine that combines elegance and lightness in a single glass – and offers a completely novel taste experience as the only one of its kind worldwide.

The Helan Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon Blanc de Noir 2023 has become a “cult” wine from Ningxia, China’s winemaking treasure trove. Made from the smallest Cabernet Sauvignon berries in the world, cultivated under extreme desert conditions, it delivers a captivating play of exotic fruit aromas. Its balance of elegance and hedonistic richness, along with a long-lasting finish, makes it a unique moment of indulgence.

Chinese Innovation: White Cabernets on the Rise
These wines are not only the first “white” Cabernets globally but also a symbol of China’s extraordinary innovation. Their production requires the utmost precision: only the free-run juice from the first twenty minutes of pressing is used, creating an entirely new dimension of flavor.

Lenz M. Moser, the visionary behind Changyu Moser XV, combines European winemaking expertise with China’s spirit of innovation. Through passion and precision, he has transformed the “white Cabernet” into an international sensation, setting benchmarks for the future of winemaking. “When I started as Chief Winemaker at the Château in 2015, we only had Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s still here today, but for the European market, we urgently needed a white wine. So, I experimented with curiosity,” says Moser. The first year didn’t yield results, but in 2016, the first white Cabernet was born. A year later, the barrel-aging experiment also succeeded, and since then, demand has grown annually.

Ningxia: China’s Most Exciting Wine Region
The Helan Mountains in Ningxia, located at 1,100 meters above sea level near the Gobi Desert, provide ideal conditions for producing extraordinary wines. Hot days, cool nights, and dry conditions yield Cabernet Sauvignon berries of unparalleled concentration and quality. This region is already setting new standards in international winemaking.

Celebrate Chinese New Year with Elegance and Exotic Flair – and Try Something New
The Chinese New Year is the perfect occasion to discover these extraordinary wines. The Moser Family Cabernet embodies European elegance, while the Helan Mountain Cabernet combines exoticism and hedonism in one glass. Raise a toast to the Year of the Snake and experience how expertise, curiosity, and modernity harmonize in these wines. Lenz M. Moser is convinced that Ningxia wines always lead to delightful discoveries – and guarantee positive surprises. To enhance the experience, he occasionally serves the wines “blind,” in a decanter.
